SEO Services

Organic SEO services for business.

You want to get your website found, right?

Organic SEO is the process of optimising your website to help you gain healthy, natural positions on the search engine results pages (SERP), without resorting to paid ads.

Peak District SEO believe that Organic SEO is the best way to build a firm foundation for your website’s future growth.  Using a Paid Ad campaign drives traffic to your website, but if you have to stop it for any reason, your traffic dries up. This is why you need an SEO campaign to strengthen your website, making you less reliant on paid advertising.

If you feel that your business website isn’t performing as well as it should be,  get in contact with us. We’ll provide you with a Website Audit and then you’ll know just what issues your website is facing.

I reached out to Phil for some assistance and have been pleased with the initial work and he has taken the time to help in other areas, that were not agreed or priced in previously. He clearly likes to please and go above and beyond, I would recommend his services.

Having worked with Phil some 10+ years ago before he set up on his own we (small SME) decided to call Peak District when faced with the challenge of re-building our outdated website & establishing it with SEO. After a quick chat with Phil he supplied a full website review within 24 hours, highlighting all the issues & areas for improvement. Since then he’s played a pivotal role in not only establishing the foundations for the SEO but also in the build making sure it’s optimised to work perfectly with everything he puts in place. The biggest compliment I can give to Phil is his passion for SEO, his skill set & knowledge will speak for itself but as someone to work with he’s a man of integrity & values who will always give you his best.

Phil at Peak District SEO offers a great service and I found him to be easily contactable and very knowledgable. I would recommend him to others looking for a personal, one-on-one approach which is refreshingly different to the service offered by many large digital agencies where you can feel like just a number.

Website SEO questions answered

Frequently asked SEO questions (FAQ).

We get asked tons of questions about the website SEO services we offer, to make things
a little easier, we have compiled a list of our most asked questions.

Even if you’re not sure whether you want to buy SEO services, it helps to have an idea about what issues your website faces. That’s why you need a website audit.

Our site audits pick up a combination of technical SEO and on-page SEO issues.  Any issues found are recorded and relayed to you before you decide if you want to hire us.

Our process
If you should decide to work with us. We aim to fix all main technical SEO issues first, but some issues can re-occur.  So we constantly monitor sites for issues.  Then we look at your keywords.

Good Keyword Research

Before we can truly optimise your website, we need to understand your audience. That means understanding the searcher. We investigate which words and phrases are likely to drive the most valuable traffic to your website.

We monitor all aspects of search, whether that be from search engines like Google or Bing or the search box on your own website. This reveals a lot of useful information about searcher intent.

Using that information, we then help you build content that interests your target audience.

We will guide you to write blog articles, and create useful, helpful documents that will increase the visibility of your site and attract the right kind of visitors who are actively searching for your goods and services.

On-page SEO is basically the review and optimisation of content on the pages of a website.  Most web pages contain a combination of static (non-changing), category, product/service and blog pages.

We methodically work through your pages to ensure they are as well optimised for the right words and phrases that will attract visitors to your website.

Our policy is to never optimise on gut instinct.  We always use aggregated user data to help us deliver the very best on-page optimisations.

“Content is king”, it’s a cliche but it’s true. Users engage the most with content that speaks to their interests.  If you don’t offer your users the best website experience, you risk them finding it elsewhere.  It’s that simple.

We help to ensure that the content on your pages says enough about who you are, what you do and more importantly, how you can help your audience.

Peak District SEO will help you expand your copy, and target your audience using relevant words and phrases. Not only are we qualified copywriters, but we also work with a range of Industry partners who include:

  • Web developers
  • Web designers,
  • PR experts,
  • Photographers and videographers
  • Graphic designers

These experts can be hired for specific parts of the project as and when needed. All are trusted partners who we have worked with countless times before. They will help you reach your marketing goals.

Peak District SEO offer a link-building service to raise your online visibility so other sites will link to yours. We don’t buy cheap and dodgy, bulk links, it’s all done properly.

This increases the number of quality links pointing to your website. We focus on building your presence in both local and national directories, as well as strong and reputable online publications.

We never spend money on black hat link building  Low-quality links will actually harm the reputation and trust of your website.

  • Peak District SEO has over 25 years of experience in Digital Marketing.
  • We know there are lots of other companies out there, all promising miracles, but we don’t make outlandish promises.
  • We promote stability and consistency.

Want an accessible, transparent marketing campaign at affordable rates?

Peak District SEO offers you a professional service. We know that customers want to understand the work that’s being done on their behalf, and to see that their money is being well spent.

This is why we have accessible project data, up-to-date, real-time reporting on key SEO statistics, reports tailored to your needs and free telephone support.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO is, well, technical. It’s about checking and improving ‘the nuts and bolts’ of your website.

Technical SEO is about fixing the fixes that make up your website.

Optimising Javascript
Javascript is the code that makes your website whizzy. It controls your navigation, slideshows, video controls, concertinas and drop-down menus.

These files are often part of a larger framework or theme that your website is built in.  We review any files that could be re-written and compressed.  This will make your website load a little bit faster.  If we optimise hundreds of these files, it all adds up to a healthier loading time for your site.

Crawling
Crawling is when Google *and the other Search engines, send out their bot to inspect websites.  The bots or ‘spiders’, find websites and inspect their architecture, then they report back to Google HQ where your website is graded by a set of Algorithms.   This grading determines where your website shows up on google search results.
Peak District SEO uses specialist, professional grade  software to keep a close eye on how your website is crawled, alerting us to any potential issues before they become a big problem.

Indexing
indexing is when the bots have crawled and assessed your pages.   If your website meets the criteria set out by Google (Ranking Factors), they might add your pages to the ever growing knowledge bank called the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP).    Peak District SEO recommends that you use Search console, a very handy and free tool from Google you can monitor how your website performs, search terms it appears for and whether your pages are getting into the Google index.

Rendering
Rendering is a fancy term for “the way a website displays’.  You see Google wants to be sure that your users can see the content in the way that you intended them to.  In these days of High Speed broadband internet, pages are much more complex than they were in the early days of the web. there are more technologies available to create webpages and there are more devices that can read websites, such as Smart TVs, Mobile Phones and Tablets, even Smart Watches. That means there are more things that can go wrong.

As the web has evolved websites have been able to deliver more and more elaborate content, such as video, audiofiles, Shopping features etc. All this ‘rich content’ comes with a price though, it can slow your website loading times down significantly.

So you’ll want to ensure that you pay close and regular attention to your loading speeds on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

Peak District SEO can monitor these stats for you and more importantly, carry out the website maintenance that ensures your site loads quickly.

Core Web Vitals
Core web vitals is a fairly new set of metrics that Google uses to measure Page speed.

Core Web Vitals are broken down into three main categories:

  • Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): This is the time it takes for the main portion of content on a web page to appear/load for users.
  • First Input Delay (FID): FID measures a page’s response time when a user begins interacting with that page for the first time. This includes: clicking links, tapping buttons, and other custom JavaScript actions.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): This is a measurement of the number of unexpected shifts in the page layout that impact the main content of a page.

Attending to all of this can be a lot for website owners.

When marketing your website, there is a balance to be struck. Yes we need to create search engine friendly websites, but it’s also important to not forget the user.

Peak District SEO has years of experience in adjusting website layouts and ensuring that your website is easy to use and to navigate around.

We ensure that your brand is visible, that your credentials can be found and most importantly, that users can contact you.

Most sites online today get the majority of their traffic from mobile devices. *B2B sites tend to be the exception, but even here mobile traffic is growing.   So, it’s really important that your website loads and displays correctly on mobile devices.  We will check your site regularly for issues to ensure it will display correctly on mobile devices.

Duplicate content refers to blogs, articles, or web pages with identical copy somewhere else on your site.

Some companies believe that duplicate content doesn’t matter at all.  Peak District SEO sits somewhere in the middle.  We believe that some duplication is OK , so long as it serves a purpose.  You’ll soon see which pages rank and which don’t, so we use that data to make changes to your content, if needed.

If a blog article belongs to several categories or is tagged with multiple tags, we ensure that ‘Canonical tags’ are inplace to communicate to Google which page it should index.

Local SEO

Local SEO matters for small business websites, because it gives you a base to grow from.

Peak District SEO will help you to improve your content to appeal to the audience who uses your goods and services.

We will ensure your contact details are easily found, Google knows your location and opening hours and that you are listed on local directories.

Good Keyword Research

We investigate which words and phrases are likely to drive the most valuable traffic to your website.

We monitor all aspects of search, whether that be from search engines like Google or Bing or the search box on your own website. This reveals a lot of useful information about what your users want, (Searcher intent).

Using that information, we then help you build content that interests your target audience.

We will guide you to write blog articles, and create useful, helpful documents that will increase the visibility of your site and attract visitors who are actively searching for your goods and services.

There was a time when directories were the be-all and end-all of local SEO.  Today, Google and other Search Engines look at many more factors.

Whilst it’s true that not as many people use directories as they used to, these listings serve as a signal to Google that you are a legitimate and trusted local business.

Peak District SEO will identify which directories your website should be listed on and then help you to create consistent and helpful, local listings.

Google provides a free service called the ‘Google Business Profile’.  This service has had many different names over the years, Google Maps, Google Plus, Google my Business and now, Google Business Profile.

It helps generate the information on the search results pages when you search for your own brand name.  We call that ‘The Knowledge Panel’.

It’s important to have a Google Business Profile and to set it up correctly.  It really should help your local SEO dramatically.

Peak District SEO manages many Business Profiles for our clients.  We help them to keep them updated and add regular content such as news and photos.
