Are you on the hunt for fresh insights to level up your marketing game? Look no further than the podcast world. As a seasoned digital marketer, I’ve handpicked the top five marketing podcasts you should be tuning into. These programmes offer a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights and inspiration from industry leaders while on the move.
E-commerce Fuel
- “eCommerce Fuel” eCommerce Fuel is a must for online business owners
If you have the ambition to own a great online store, there’s nothing better than talking to other people who have done it. This podcast has such fantastic guests, People who run or work on 7 and 8-figure web stores, that you really get a broad overview of the problems faced by e-commerce store owners. It’s candid too, you get rough with the smooth…it’s not all “shiny, shiny” success stories, you will hear of how people ruined their businesses, and also stories of how they dragged a failing business back from the brink. The host, Andrew Youderian, is an expert himself; his style is friendly but journalistic. He has a great way of asking questions that cut through the fluffy, political answers and get to the truth of the matter. He examines financing, stocking, shipping, staffing and many other issues. I’ve really been inspired by listening to this podcast and it’s always high on the list of podcasts I’d recommend.
Experts on The Wire
- “Experts on The Wire” Dan Shure’s podcast, Experts On The Wire, is a goldmine for anyone interested in understanding the processes of SEOs and digital marketers. You can’t learn everything…but you can understand some strategies of SEOs and marketers, and that’s what I like. It cuts through the marketing doublespeak and Shure asks pointed questions that get to the heart of the matter. every time.
Social Media Marketing Podcast
- “Social Media Marketing Podcast” Michael Stelzner’s weekly podcast is a must-listen for anyone wanting to capitalise on social media. This podcast explores success stories and interviews top social media pros to give listeners the most cutting-edge tactics. If you’re looking to improve your social media strategy, this is the podcast for you.
Search News You Can Use
- “Search News You Can Use” Marie Haynes is a former veterinarian turned SEO. Her curiosity as a business owner led her to a whole new career in Search. I don’t always agree with everything she says in Search News You Can Use, which is a combination of a search news roundup and some self-promotion for her company. Another criticism is that she “plays the game”, meaning that by and large Marie is a pure white-hat SEO. Nothing wrong with that, but she does promote heavily the Google Playbook. Seasoned SEOs know to take what Google says with a pinch of salt because not everything they say I so actually bears scrutiny…eg: I have examples of Universal Analytics still recording data in August 2023….but she does always refer to lots of sources, so anything she mentions you can always search yourself and cross-reference.
The Recipe For SEO Success
- “The Recipe for SEO Success“ by Australian SEO and Copywriting Expert, Kate Toon, is fab. Kate just has a natural style that is comfortable. When I’m listening to her, it’s like a conversation with a friend. She manages to present her information in a way that is both easy to understand and not too techy. It’s perfect for very small business owners but also a good listen for SEOs and marketers to just pick up on new ideas without the hyperbole and bombast which is common with some “rockstar marketers”.
These five podcasts will help you stay ahead of the curve in the fast-paced world of digital marketing. So, grab your earbuds and start tuning into these knowledgeable sources. Remember, the key to becoming a successful marketer is never to stop learning and evolving. Happy listening!
Of course, it’s great to listen to Podcasts to gain a better understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing. But you can’t possibly hope to learn everything you need to know (unless you’re shipwrecked on a desert island with Great wifi and a charging station), you’ll never have time to listen to everything, let alone put it into practice. That’s where we come in.
